The article indeed explored what happens in the northern Nigeria where some practices perpetrated are inhumane and unwelcome. Despite the fact that some of the cultural practices are archaic and cannot stand the test of time but still some are not archaic and are the convictions of northerners.
Finally, what I will tell you is that we cannot have a unified culture not only in Nigeria but all over the world where everyone will abandon his religious perspective, historical background and cultural practices and accept a new one which some people think is the infallible one.
Continue calling us conservative but out religion is our convictions.

Absolutely enthralled that I came upon this. There’s so much we’ll never know because it’s undocumented, so well done for this. This information has now been immortalized. I am citing this in an academic piece I am currently working on, so thanks again.
