Bella Alubo, a Nigerian musical artiste recently got featured on a song with the rapper Ty Dollar Sign and Notorious B.I.G.
The song is titled G.O.A.T and is a posthumous production of the late Notorious B.I.G and was done to celebrate what would have been his 50th birthday.
Announcing the feature, Ms Alubo took to her Instagram page to share a video of her collaboration. She described it as an “incredible honour” to have a song with the legendary Notorious B.I.G. as her first release of the year.
Ms Alubo thanked her record label Benin City Entertainment for granting her the support and opportunity to have a song with artists like TY Dollar Sign.
In one of the earliest Workin Womxn stories published on Document Women, Bella Alubo was featured and she spoke extensively about the abuse and bad working conditions female musicians in Nigeria are often exposed to.
Ms Alubo also said that she experienced financial abuse and was not paid the proper value of her royalties when with Tinny Entertainment.
This happened even as she had more than 5.8 million streams on one of her songs produced with them.
G.O.A.T is out and can be streamed here.
