Multi award winning rapper Megan Thee Stallion was recently honored in the city of Houston, Texas. The rapper who is behind hit songs like WAP and Hot Girl Summer was not only given the key to the City of Houston, she also had a day set aside to celebrate her contributions to music.
According to a video posted on Stallion Access, the mayor of Houston, Mayor Sylvester Turner announced that every May 2nd will be set aside and known as “Megan Thee Stallion” day in the City of Houston, Texas.
Speaking during the presentation of the key to the City of Houston, Mr. Turner said that the key was given to “anyone who represented the values of the city at heart”.
Megan was also given a cowboy heart echoing the culture of Houston by Mr Turner as part of her gifts.
Megan Thee Stallion is an American rapper best known for her songs that celebrate female sexuality in an intentionally shame free way.
Her single WAP where she was featured by Cardi B, has been hailed for the manner in which it celebrated women’s sexual pleasure.
She has been awarded and nominated by notable award shows like the Grammys, Billboard Women In Music and MTV Video Music Awards.
